A rather small haul today but I did manage to hit two Goodwill’s and the Menonite thrift store. Since I don’t have that much I will share it all:
The CareBear Singing King Funshine – paid $1.25 and listed for $35.
The Wilton Cookie Pan – paid $1.97 and listed for $19.95.
The Lord of the Rings Puzzle – paid $2.97 and listed for $29.98.
The Lord of the Rings Part 3 Audiobook – paid .97 cents and listed for $45.
The Spot it Splash game – paid $1.97 and listed for $12.33.
The Wendy’s Furskin – paid .97 cents and listed for $6.50 (probably should have left this guy on the shelf).
The Cuddle Babies Doll Kit – paid .97 cents and listed for $35.
The Build a Bear Bear Stuff Honey Pot, Stirrer, and Bees – paid $2.97 and listed for $25.
The Darth Maul M&M guy – paid $1.97 and listed for $35.
The Spongebob Frankenstein – paid .75 cents and listed for $5 (another that could have stayed on the shelf).
The Bendable Squidward Plush – paid $1.97 and listed for $48.
The Big Hug 21″ Pooh plush – paid $2 and listed for $45.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Scarecrow finger puppet – paid .97 cents and listed for $10.
The only complete duds were the Mechatars Power Packs. I paid 50 cents each for them and they are selling for so low on Amazon that it would cost me well over 50 cents to list them. Since there isn’t really anything we could do with them without having the sets I tossed them.
The bottom line:
Total items listed: 13
Total Buy Cost: $24.70
Total Sales Value: $343.25
Total Net Profit: $220.48
I spent just under 2 hours total shopping and listing today’s haul giving me a potential hourly wage of $110.24. Not as high as some days but it is nice to get done early enough to have some downtime before my girls get home!
So, that’s it for today… short and sweet! If you look in the lower left hand corner of the table in the picture above you will see my “tools of the trade”. It really doesn’t take too much to get started with this! I use my mini laptop, a handheld scanner (to quickly capture UPC’s), a tape measure (that is what the little birdie is), and a bottle of Un-du (this stuff makes removing the price tags SO much easier!). And that’s it since I now have Amazon do the prep work for me (prior to this I used a dymo label printer and poly bags too). So easy – I just plop myself down at the head of the table after I take the picture and list it all right there. Then when the shipments are created I move the bags of sorted merchandise down to a staging area in my basement to go out in that weeks shipment.
Tomorrow I’ll be hitting some stores again but I am not sure that I will be putting up a haul in the afternoon. I have company coming on Thursday for lunch so I am thinking I may spend Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning getting some shopping done. If I do this I will just add what I buy tomorrow to whatever I buy Friday morning and share a big, multi day haul on Friday afternoon. Either way you will be hearing from me again before the weeks end!
Thanks for reading and have a great night!
