I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I spent my morning at soccer and then a birthday party for a friends daughter before heading home to clean up the house, get some laundry going, and starting a chicken in the oven for dinner. My husband is out mowing and trimming the hedges. Very productive day here so I thought why not finish up the haul from Wednesday while I’m feeling so unusually motivated! 🙂
I meant to get to it Friday but this lingering cold I’ve been fighting knocked me down for the day but better late than never, right? On Wednesday I shopped two Goodwill’s for this trip … the largest one in the area and the Outlet next door (where they charge by pound).
I did really, really well in a very short amount of time!
Here is the breakdown:
First, the grab bags of plush. This particular Goodwill is especially good for finding these. I picked up four of them on this trip.
Bag #1 – paid $1.97. I wound up listing the Kelloggs Rabbit for $35 and a Red haired troll doll for $35. The profit on this bag will be $51.81.
Bag #2 – paid $2.97 – This bag gave me the Hershey bear listed for $15 and two troll dolls listed for $35 each. This bag will net me $61.49.
Bag #3 – paid $2.97 – This bag gave me Roo listed at $35 and another troll doll for $25. The net profit on this one will be $43.16.
Bag #4 – $3.97 – I should have left this one on the shelf. All I listed from it was a Minnie Mouse for $10 so at best I’ll only net a little over $1 on this one.
Besides the bagged goodies I found lots of other plush sitting on the shelves and in the bins:
The Bruce Shark (from Nemo) – I paid $1.97 for him and listed for $45.
The Macy’s Snoopy plush – paid $2.97 and listed for $55.
The Cat in the Hat plush from Kohls – paid $1.97 and listed for $15.
The Laugh and Learn Puppy – Paid $1 and listed for $45.
The Kanga and Roo plush – paid $1 and listed for $35.
The Kohls Wocket in my Pocket plush – This one was a really good find. He (she?) came wearing a Build a Bear Hello Kitty Halloween outfit that didn’t belong on him. I listed the Wocket for $25 and the Build a Bear outfit for $35 separately.
The Teddy bear wearing a Thor Hoodie – paid $1 and listed for $45.
The Roo plush – paid $1 and listed for $35.
The bottom line:
Total items listed: 17
Total Buy Cost: $20.13
Total Sales Value: $533.00
Total Net Profit: $375.34
Excellent considering I only spent about an hour shopping and an hour and a half of listing (thanks to having to research and create some listings). My potential hourly wage for Wednesday was $150.13 an hour.
Ok, that is all the work I’ll be doing for the rest of the weekend. See you back here Monday afternoon with a new haul!
