As planned I spent the morning thrifting and hit quite a few stores. It was a beautiful day and really nice to be out and about after dealing with shipping the past couple days!
The best finds of the day were:
The Metlife Flying Ace Snoopy – I find quite a few of these guys but never this one before! I paid $1 and listed for $35.
The Despicable Me 2 Edith doll – paid $1.99 and listed for $35.
The Princess Troll – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.
The Christmas Furby – paid $2.99 and listed for $45.
The Snowball Pink Minnie – paid $2.99 and listed for $35.
The Boarding Sports puzzle – paid $2.99 and listed for $35.
The Star Trek Cards – paid $1.99 and listed for $35.
Wedding Day Midge – paid $3.99 and listed for $49.98.
The barbie special collection wedding set from 1997 – paid $2.99 and listed for $45.
The Nordic Ware pumpkin pan – paid $6.99 and listed for $45.
The Bucilla Christams house – paid $2.99 and listed for $24.99.
The Wilton truck pan – paid $1.99 and listed for $35.
I found quite a few Brown Bag Cookie molds in mint condition and with tags – paid $1.99 each and listed the cat and the ghost at $35 each. I still have 9 others that I will need to make listings for and will probably list at $45 each.
The Fantasia flamingo – paid $1.99 and listed for $35.
The Captain Hook – paid $1.99 and listed for $35.
The pink Tigger – paid $2.99 and listed for $45.
They Pyrex Daisy oval with lid – paid $4.99 and listed for $55 (even though I really wanted to keep it…lol).
There is a big bag of stuff I have to research and make listings for and I will be starting on that next week. My plan is to probably just hit the very local two stores here and there next week and in between work through the stuff that will be new to Amazon (and therefore I can ask even higher prices for… woohoo!).
The only dud was the Cars 2 Playdoh set. Had it been complete it would have listed for about $55 (I paid 4.99) but it was missing a ton of stuff so I trashed it.
The bottom line:
Total items listed: 51
Total buy cost: $128.61
Total Sales Value: $1395.32
Total Net Profit: $896.84
I wasn’t just shopping for Amazon today. I also was on the lookout for stuff for the playroom which we are making over into an office for me and the kids and some fall exercise clothes and I did some grocery shopping. So I’d say I probably spent about 3 hours today actually shopping Amazon and about 2 hours listing (longer than usual because I kept stopping and starting it tonight). But $896 for 5 hours of work gives me a nice potential hourly rate of $179.36.
And 21 boxes full of inventory are right now heading towards Amazon warehouses and should be making me money in no time!
I love this time of year so, so, so much! 🙂
Ok, I am off to enjoy the weekend with my family. I hope you all do the same! See you next week!
