Don't Miss

Today’s Haul – November 9th

Hello!

It has been a lovely Monday here so far. I started out by getting all of the stuff I bought last week on the porch to be picked up by UPS and taken to Amazon and then once the kids left for school I headed to a friends house for some coffee and girl talk.

After coffee I stopped into two thrift stores and a grocery store (to fill two grocery orders that came in yesterday) and found a few things to list. Normally on a Monday I would head out after I got my son and hit the Goodwill that is the furthest drive from me but I decided to skip that today. I have been feeling kid of stressed the days that I thrift with Aidan not only because shopping with a 5 year old isn’t ideal but also because by the time I got home it would take me up until the girls get home and often beyond to list it all and didn’t leave any downtime at all. I am going to try and limit my thrifting (most days) to just the morning so I can give myself an hour after I list everything and before the girls get home to decompress with a cup of tea and do some other business work (mainly going through my inventory to see what is supressed and needs updating).

Anyway, it was a small haul today so here is everything I picked up:

The Department 56 Chop Shop – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.

The Snowbabies Time Out figurine – paid $5 and listed for $45.

The Five Sweet Years Hallmark ornament – paid 97 cents and listed for $6.99.

The Nascar Jello Jiggler – paid 97 cents and listed for $10.

The Jumbo talking Koda plush – paid $2 and listed for $75.

The Barney Rubble Plush – paid $1.25 and listed for $35.

The Neon Chopper Motorcycle light – paid $9.97 and listed for $75.

The Gund Pounce Cat – paid $2 and listed for $35.

The Hot Wheels Tank from 1990 – paid $2 and listed for $25.

The only duds were the St. Nicholas Square car figure (only a dud because it is Hazmat and I have to wait for it to clear) and the Paint your Own Nutcracker for $2 which truly is hazmat and I shouldn’t have picked up (but decided to keep for the kids to do something with).

Todays bottom line:

Items listed: 10

Buy Cost: $26.58

Sales Value: $351.96

Net Profit: $244.45

I spent just under 2 hours total between shopping for and prepping/listing these items which give me a solid hourly rate of $122.22 today.

Tomorrow morning I plan to hit a few thrift stores but because I am meeting a friend for lunch I likely won’t have a post up until a bit later in the day.

See you then!
