Day 5 of a 5 day thrifting extravaganza wrapped up today and I did pretty well but not quite as well as I hoped considering I went to four stores. The thrifts were extra busy today … maybe because of the weekend … and I didn’t find as much as earlier in the week.
Still a fairly good day though so lets dig in!
The best finds of the day were:
The Adventures of Tintin puzzle – paid $2.97 and listed for $45.
The Johnson Brothers Victorian Christmas 3 piece place setting – I found three of these in original boxes for only $6.97 each and listed for $45 each.
The Hallmark Snowman playing piano – I paid $9.97 for him but it was well worth it. I sold one recently right after sending it in for $45 and since then prices have shot up so this time I listed him for $75.
Sheffield vintage Blue Whisper 5 piece place set – I found two of these in original box for $6.97 each. There was a listing on Amazon but no current offers so I turned to replacement.com for pricing. They have the set for $39.99 so I felt pretty confident listing for $45 each.
**China is very new to me and to be honest not something I have really looked for in the past. But, I will be looking for now on! I won’t bother with the loose pieces that fill the shelves of every Goodwill but any sets already boxed are definitely worth a scan.
Tigger dressed as Woody – paid $2.97 and listed for $35.
Charles Wysocki puzzle – these are always a great find – paid $1.97 and listed for $50.
The Dog animated pug – I could not believe how much these sell for! – paid $1.97 and listed for $75.00.
Lolita Wine and Martini glass candles – paid $2.97 each and listed for $35 each.
The Duds –
Once again less dud and more me wanting to keep… lol.
The Pressure Cooker. Brand new in box and I paid $20.97. I have always wanted a pressure cooker so I decided that at this price and condition I couldn’t let it go.
The Puzzle four pack for kids – paid $2.97 – kept to donate to Toys for Tots at my oldest daughters school.
The Phillies van giveaway – kept for my little Phillies fan. Paid $2.97.
So, that’s it! How did I do?
Items listed: 31
Total Buy Cost: $101.63
Total Sell Value: $950
Total Net Profit; $600.25
I put in about 5 1/2 hours work total so definitely hit my $100 an hour goal – YAY!
