Today I took the drive out to the two farthest Saver’s and then hit the close one on my way home. I did ok but I have a bag of things I need to research that should turn it from an ok day to a great day. Most notably the vintage 1990 Playskool R/C Police Car in original box and the Sesame Street Cookie Monster and Elmo Animated Christmas display. They should both list at around $75 each once I create the listings. I have decided to just do as much shopping as I can the next week and a half and then I can work on the research once the kids are off for the summer.
I got some goodies listed and ready to go today though! The best of the bunch were:
The Mercedes Benz Bear – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.
The Victoria Secret Molly Dog – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.
The Magic Hair Dora – paid $3.99 and listed for $50.
The Furreal Friends baby chimp – these are usually pretty cheap and because they don’t make them anymore worth a decent amount for something so small. I paid $2.99 and listed him for $35.
The Pandora Ornament – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.
The Royal Doulton Bunnykins set – paid $5.99 and listed for $38.94 (matched another seller with the same condition).
The 1950’s porcelain Alpine Girl – paid $7.99 and listed for $45. I thought this was a Hummel (her face looks so Hummel like) but sadly it was not.
The only total dud was the Wrestling Federation action figure. I paid $4.99 for it and thought it might be an old school wrestling toy but it turns out it was just from a generic line not worth anything. I really need to scan these high priced action figures but I always hope that I am going to grab a winner. My son is happy though because he got him for his wrestling ring!
The bottom line:
Total items listed: 20
Total buy cost: $80.80
Total sales value: $546.49
Total net profit: $290.27
I spent 2 hours driving and shopping this morning and an hour listing so this puts me just under my goal of a $100 an hour or more net profit **but** once I add in the bag of stuff I need to research I should have another couple hundred in potential profit bringing me well over my goal. So, at least it wasn’t a wasted day! And I had fun … 🙂
Ok, finishing up early today so Aidan can show me the “bubble” show he learned at school today (they had an assembly). Somehow I think this might be messy! lol
See you guys tomorrow with more fun finds!
