Well, plush was the word of the day today thanks to Saver’s. I’m so glad I finally realized they have a toy section because every time I have shopped it I have found at least a few good quality plush to add to my growing inventory.
I only hit two stores today – the Savers and one of the Salvation Army stores. Although at Salvation Army I left with two bags full of goodies but only one item (the Blue’s Clues plush) was for selling.
Here is what I found:
The Jungle Book Elephant – paid $.99 and listed for $35.
The Doodle Dino – paid $1.99 and listed for $15.
The Build a Bear Unicorn – paid $2.99 and listed for $25.
The Blues Clues – paid .99 and listed for $25.
The Diego Ice Age II – paid $1.99 and listed for $25.
The Woodstock hand puppet – paid $1.99 and listed for $55.
The NBA Build a Bear – paid $4.99. Listed the uniform for $20 and the bear for $15.
The Stitch plush – paid $2.99 and listed for $35.
The Annalee Sweetheart Mouse – paid $5.99 and listed for $35.
The Tick Tock Crock – paid $3.99 and listed for $45.
The bottom line:
Total items listed: 11
Total Buy Cost: $29
Total Sales Value: $330
Total Net Profit: $210.98
I was going to stay home tomorrow and get everything boxed up to send off (after all it isn’t making us any money just sitting in my basement) but the more I think about it the more I think I will make one last push tomorrow and hit as many stores as I can. I will probably take next week of from thrifting and use Monday to box it all and get it to UPS and the rest of the week to do some gardening and get ready for familly and friends coming in from out of town to visit next weekend.
Have a great night!
